If you’re not familiar with podcasting, don’t worry. It isn’t necessary to understand the technology to take advantage of it.

If you look around the home page of BassFeed.com, you’ll find that there are several ways to listen to the show. But again, don’t let all these options overwhelm or frustrate you.

Below are descriptions of each of the ways in which you can listen to the show, with my personal observations about which I think are the most user-friendly.

The iTunes Option

Perhaps the easiest way to listen to the BassFeed podcast (or any podcast, for that matter) is to use iTunes. The one downside to this is that it does require you to download and install the iTunes software. Which is really no big deal, but I know some of you are not comfortable adding software to your computer, and I can certainly understand your concerns. But rest assured that millions of people have iTunes installed on their computers and taking full advantage of the enormous amount of both free and paid content available through this service.

So, if you don’t have iTunes installed yet, but would like to ad it your computer, simply click HERE to go to the iTunes download page. Click on the “Download” button and simply follow the instructions to install the software.

Once iTunes is installed on your machine, or if you already have the software installed, you can click HERE to go directly to the BassFeed page inside of iTunes. Once there, click on the “Subcribe” button so you’ll never miss an episode of BassFeed. Each time I post a new episode, it will automatically download whenever you open iTunes on your computer.

By the way, you can also get all previous episodes of BassFeed in iTunes by clicking on the “Get Episode” button next to each episode on the BassFeed iTunes pa

Flash Player

One more real good option for listenening to BassFeed is to use the Flash player that’s tagged on at the end of each episode description. The advantage to this player is that it will play the specific episode that it’s associated with (rather than starting with the most recent episode and progressing backwards as the PuPu player does.

There are two ways to use this player. One of them is pretty handy, the other one is kind of inconvenient. We’ll get the inconvient option out of the way first.

Okay, at the bottom of each episode description is a small red button with yellow speaker and arrow icons on it. If you click on this button (you may have to click it twice if you’re using Internet Explorer), the player will open and start playing the episode it’s associated with. The reason this option is inconvenient is that it requires you to stay on the same web page to listen to the episode. If you click off the page, the player will close.

A better option to use this player is to click on the words “Play in Popup.” This opens a small window for the player to run in so you can surf the web in the main page without closing the player.

Are you Listening?

So those are just a few of the options I recommend for listening to BassFeed. Hopefully you found one of them to your liking. I’d love to have you as a regular listener, and if you need any additional help getting started, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,
Billy Raymond
