Byron Velvick

Byron Velvick just capped off his 2007 Bassmaster Elite season with a win in the Wildcard. It’s the one bright spot in an otherwise difficult, even tragic, season for Byron. But with the win under his belt, and his 2008 tour card in hand, he’s got the drive, the momentum, and the confidence to make 2008 his year on the Elites.

He joins Billy to discuss the win, including sharing water with Keith Phillips and Crappie fisherman, the accident that nearly ended his 2007 season before it began, and then look ahead to 2008 and his goal to be the “Dee Thomas of swimbaits.”
