Peter Thliveros will go down in bass fishing history as the only man to win two Bassmaster Memorials. Unfortunately, BASS has chosen to remove the Memorial and the three other “majors” from the 2008 schedule. So Peter T’s back-to-back Memorial titles will remain undisputed. Peter shares his mixed feelings about the end of the majors, the technique that won him the Memorial this year, and he looks ahead to the Bassmaster Elite events on the Potomac River and Lake Toho.

He also provides a sneak peek of his new line of Big Show Signature rods due out soon from Castaway Rods.

Longshank Spinnerbaits and Buzzbaits are named for their extra-long hook that eliminates the need for a trailer hook. But there’s much more to these unique lures than just their length. An innovative, rear-weighted head and a durable, intricate skirt make these some of the most fishable spinners and buzzers on the market. Longshank Pro Staffer Gil Johnson explains the history and innovation behind these long lures.
Then we check out the latest import from Japan, called the FlickShake. Jackall Lures introduced this technique, along with their specialized worm (pictured) and “wacky jighead” that make this finesse presentation really come alive. Curt Arakawa fills us in on the details of what promises to be the next big finesse technique and shares a bit of Jackall Lure’s impressive history in tackle design.

Ish Monroe shares a few pointers on his go-to technique… flipping. He talks about when it will and won’t work and why heavy line and big lures aren’t always the recipe for flipping success. Ish even has a couple words of wisdom to help co-anglers be more effective flipping from the back of the boat.
Then we get inside Ish’s head to find out about his strong emotional reactions — good and bad — and how they help him stay focused on the water and in competition.
Next up, WBT Pro Robin Babb talks about her eclectic career choices, her path to the Womens Bassmaster Tour, and her first-class travel accommodations from Zeffer Travel Systems.
