Christie Bradley finished up the 2007 WBT season with a top-10 finish on the Red River and the first-ever “Coolest Rig Running” award for her Geico-wrapped Triton. She’s here to talk about the highs (day 3 on the Red River) and lows (Table Rock) of her season. She also recounts how she got to the WBT and what she has in mind for next season.
Visit Christie’s website HERE to see photos of her award-winning boat wrap and to keep up with her angling career.
Then we hear from Edwin Evers, who made quite a name for himself on the Bassmaster Elite Tour in 2007 and promises to do even more in 2008. Edwin talks about his win on Lake Erie, the importance of versatility, managing your fish, and offers advice to collegiate anglers with plans to go pro.
Keep up with Edwin at his website HERE.
Sammie Jo Denyes and Keith Phillips
The final event of the 2007 WBT schedule is the first event of the year for professional angler Sammie Jo Denyes. She’ll fish the Red River tournament out of a Nitro bass boat that has a patriotic wrap that seems like a shoe-in for the Coolest Rig Running award. The story of the wrap, Sammie Jo’s decision to sit out most of the 2007 season, and her plans for the 2008 WBT are worth a listen.
Then we catch up with Keith Phillips from the Bassmaster Elite series. The Elite season may be over, but Keith is busier than ever preparing to fish for the U.S. in the Eurobass Tournament coming up in Spain. When he gets back from Europe, he’ll have just enough time to gear up for the Bassmaster Wild Card Qualifier on Lake Okochobee, where he’ll need to turn in a top-10 finish to get his Elite tour card for the 2008 season. But even with this busy schedule, Keith had time to stop by and share some tips on swimming a jig to capitalize on the coming fall bite.

The Meat and Potatoes Tackle Company makes spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, jigs, and crankbaits based on more than three decades of tournament and recreational bass fishing experience. JR Ince explains M&P’s “natural” advantage. Visit the M&P website or call 866-863-6328 for more information.
Bassmaster Elite angler Kotaro “Kota” Kiriyama is one of a handful of professional Japanese anglers making quite a splash on bass fishing’s national stage. Kota is here to recap his runner-up finish on Lake Erie, share a few smallmouth tips, and compare Japanese bass fishing to the American version. Check out Kota’s Lake Erie technique, the Jackall Ninja Worm at Jackall Lures.
Finally, Jason Quinn shares some surprising insight about his mindset during his recent second-place finish in the Bassmaster Legends. Then he looks ahead to the final Bassmaster Elite regular season event and how he plans to qualify for the 2008 Bassmaster Classic. Keep up with Jason on his official website.
BAN Wraps, Vertical Lures, and John Crews on Shallow Cranking

Getting a boat wrapped is an expensive proposition, but one that can pay big dividends if you can build sponsor relationships, increase your visibility, and even put a few bucks in your pocket. Denese Freeman from Bass Angler’s Network is here to discuss their new B.A.N. Wraps program, along with the many other services Bass Angler’s Network provides to professional anglers.
Then Vic Sanders is here to describe the full line of Vertical Lures “X” products, including the Jig X, Chunk X, Tube X, and newly available football-head jig. Learn why these jigs come through cover better, break knots less, and provide better hook ups than conventional jigs. Vic also has some solid advice for how to rig the Tube X for optimum performance.
Finally, John Crews joins us to introduce a new lure he developed for Spro. The “Little John” is a flat-sided, round-lipped, silent-running crankbait that is unlike anything else out there for cranking shallow water. John talks about the design principles of the new lure and offers his advice for when, where, and how to fish it.
