VanDam Holds Off Horton at Kentucky Lake

The final day of the Bassmaster Elite Bluegrass Brawl on Kentucky Lake was billed as “The Greatest There Was vs. The Greatest There Is” or “Rick Clunn vs. Kevin VanDam.” But as it turned out, that shootout never materialized. Instead, VanDam faltered, Clunn stumbled, and Timmy Horton seemingly came out of nowhere to pass Rick and challenge Kevin.
In the end, VanDam had enough for the victory, but Horton had a great time making him sweat it out. We’ll hear from both of them in this episode.
Starks Notches First Elite Win, Scalish Talks Smallies

Jeremy Starks claimed his first Bassmaster Elite Series Tour win on Lake Wheeler in fairytale fashion. Not only was he able to out fish Kevin Van Dam on day 4, but he survived a bout of food poisoning and competition from a stubborn local angler. Jeremy details the techniques he used to pull big largemouth bass off his magic “spot on a spot.”

Pam Martin-Wells fished a variety of patterns to claim her latest victory on Lake Neely-Henry, but it was a jig and a weightless worm that did the heavy lifting for Martin-Wells. She explains the techniques and patterns and also shares her thoughts on the 2008 WBT Angler of the Year fishing in the 2009 Bassmaster Classic.
