Topwater Tube
May 29, 2008 by admin
I don’t tell many people about this one because it’s a for-sure bass catcher.
Take a Gitzit 7″ Tube and put a cork bobber in it, with a Tru Turn 5/0 hook. This makes for a deadly topwater bait.
The head bobs on top and the frills hang low in the water. Big bass can’t resist this presentation. Sometimes it takes two corks to keep it bouyant. A trailer hook can also be added when the bass are short striking or just swatting at it.
And sometimes, I’ll downsize the presentation with a smaller tube and cork.
